Hi! My name is Jungeun. I find myself both experimental and at the same time, self-restricting. I like to imagine an alternative way of making and using materials, but in the matter of final results and style, I tend to get quite rigid.

Lately, I’ve been working on casual craft projects to get the habit of making going and also a way of playing with my son Mathias. I was delighted and amused at how he can go off-track from how he is “supposed to do” certain things and end up with precious and adorable results.

I want this blog to be a chronicle of doing fun, creative activities with Mathis as well as experimentation on being more uninhibited and playful in creating.

I would also base this effort on the idea of giving back and in communication with nature. All these are the origin of this blog’s name Mandeum Earth – Mandeum means “making” in Korean, which in turn is dedicated to our planet Earth.
